Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

Your privacy matters to UX to FX. This policy explains what information is collected when you use this site, why it's collected, and what choices you have.

What We Collect

Analytics data. UX to FX uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site — which pages are read, how long visitors stay, and how they arrived. This data is aggregated and anonymous; it does not identify you as an individual. Analytics cookies are only placed after you give consent. For full details on the cookies used, see the Cookie Policy.

Email and contact information. If you subscribe to the newsletter or submit a contact form, UX to FX collects your name and email address. This information is used to send educational content, course updates, and occasional marketing communications. It is stored in our email service provider and is never sold to third parties.

Why We Collect It (Lawful Basis)

For visitors in the European Union or United Kingdom, the following lawful bases apply under GDPR:

  • Analytics data — Legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used, subject to your cookie consent.

  • Newsletter and contact form data — Consent, given at the point of sign-up or form submission.

  • Legal obligations — Where required by law.

How Data Is Used

Information collected on this site is used to administer and improve the website, deliver educational content and newsletters to subscribers, and respond to direct inquiries. Analytics data informs content decisions — for example, understanding which articles are most useful to readers.

UX to FX does not use your data for advertising targeting or sell it to third parties for any purpose.

Third-Party Services

UX to FX uses the following third-party services that may process data on its behalf:

Google Analytics — Website analytics. Google acts as a data processor under a data processing agreement. Data collected is subject to Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all sites using Google's browser opt-out add-on.

Email service provider — Newsletter and email delivery. Subscriber data (name and email) is stored and processed by our email platform. Third-party service providers handling personal data on UX to FX's behalf are contractually required to maintain appropriate privacy and security standards.

This site contains affiliate links. The Affiliate Disclosures page explains those relationships. Clicking affiliate links may result in third-party cookies being set by those external sites, governed by their own privacy policies.

Data Retention

Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics settings (currently set to 14 months for user-level data). Newsletter subscriber data is retained while you are subscribed and for a reasonable period thereafter to maintain accurate records. You may request deletion at any time (see Your Rights below).

Your Rights

If you are located in the European Union, United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with applicable data protection laws, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data held about you

  • Correct inaccurate information

  • Delete your data ("right to be forgotten")

  • Restrict how your data is processed

  • Object to processing based on legitimate interest

  • Withdraw consent at any time (without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing)

  • Data portability — receive your data in a structured, commonly used format

To exercise any of these rights, contact info@kristaweber.com. Requests will be responded to within 30 days.

If you believe your data has been handled improperly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (for EU residents: your national supervisory authority; for UK residents: the ICO at ico.org.uk).

International Data Transfers

UX to FX is based in the United States. If you visit from the European Union, United Kingdom, or other regions, your data may be transferred to and processed in countries with different data protection laws, including the United States. Where required, appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) are used by our service providers for these transfers.

UX to FX uses cookies for site functionality and analytics. For a complete list of cookies used, their purpose, and how to manage your preferences, see the Cookie Policy.

About Me

Headshot of Krista Weber

Krista Weber

After a career as a VP of UX and EdTech executive, I retired early—and quickly realized the traditional world of trading education is fundamentally broken.

As someone with a Master’s in HCI who specialized in the design of e-learning systems, I saw a massive gap: beginners aren't failing because trading is impossible; they’re failing due to massive cognitive overload and terrible instructional design.

This site bridges that gap. I’m applying the principles of learning science, systems thinking, and minimalist UX to strip away the market noise and teach trading the way it actually should be taught.
